Collection "your heart" Piece 5
You love me.
You care for me.
You hug me.
You comfort me.
You build me up.
You helped me find a home.
Then…
Act like you don’t love me.
Act like you hate me.
It’s my fault.
My fault you failed.
My fault you lost.
All I do is drag you down.
Then…
You love me again.
You clean my wounds.
Build me back up.
Guide me to make others happy.
Guide me to make you happy.
Heal my broken bones.
Then…
You cut all of my roots.
Break my connections with my family.
Break my heart.
Leave me broken on the ground.
You shattered my ears, my eyes, my body.
You leave again.
Then…
You promised you’d stop.
You’d get help.
Say you were ‘sorry’, ‘I love you.'
‘It’ll never happen again.’
You wrap me in your comforting arms.
You vow to commit yourself to me.
Then…
You promise to hurt my blood.
‘Obey’.
‘Breathe your last breath’.
‘Nothing’.
‘Nothing’.
‘You are nothing’.
I once heard that the mind is that of a forest.
Green trees are good.
The good memories, the good emotions.
The moments that remind you that life is truly wonderful.
Of course, with good comes bad:
The brown and dead trees.
The moments that made me wish you finished the job.
