Collection "my head" Piece 3
Philosophy: the study of the nature of knowledge, reality, and existence.
Psychology: the study of the human mind.
Social studies: various branches of the study of human relations to each other and to their world.
So many studies,
So much scientific thought,
Yet so many mysteries unsolved?
Does one ever, fully, understand oneself?
Does one ever, fully, control oneself?
Will we ever, truly, know ourselves?
Why is it so hard for people to not understand that some things can’t be controlled?
That no one on Earth has total control over their emotions?
Over themselves?
Doesn’t everyone get voices in their head?
Voices that push you to do things,
Screams ringing in your ears?
Everyone looks for relief, an escape,
Others go deeper than others, more determined,
To find a way to run from all their demons.
Isn’t it funny though?
How we have to run away from our demons,
Only to be surrounded by more?
Every person on this planet has assumed another is mental,
Needs help.
But does anyone truly think it for themselves?
Maybe I’m crazy,
Maybe I don’t have full control of myself,
But you tell me who isn’t the same.
Crazy: mad, manifested in wild or aggressive behaviour.
Control: the power to restrain one’s own emotions or actions.
Everybody: every person.
